WEST PASEO URGENT CALL TO ACTION

This past year, Gabriel Woodman and his company Merak Development received over $1.35 million in public funding to purchase the Residences of West Paseo. The company then illegally issued notices to vacate to 14 tenants in February. In response, West Paseo tenants launched a majority union on March 23 and blocked their mass eviction.

On Monday, April 13, the West Paseo Tenant Union met with owner Gabriel Woodman of Merak Development. In that meeting, he committed to meet again with the tenant union in early May to finalize an agreement before moving forward with planned renovations in the building.

Gabriel Woodman now refuses to keep his word.

His blatant dishonesty places dozens of tenants at risk of losing their homes.

IT’S NOW TIME TO ESCALATE. The West Paseo Tenant Union is clear: they will not stop until Woodman keeps his commitment to meet with their union. Tenants demand a negotiated written agreement that secures:
