DESCRIPTION:https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/924716/?referring_vol=10262648&share_context=dashboard-event-details&sharer_role=2 \nThis a local Indivisible event! \nJoin us as we march in celebration of American diversity and support of candidates who will defend freedom\, preserve democracy\, and protect the rule of law. \nOur parade group will feature music\, U.S. and international flags\, and participant-made signs. We may also hand out candy and voter information materials to encourage civic participation. \nSigns and costumes should reflect the theme of American diversity in defense of freedom\, preservation of democracy\, and protection of the rule of law. Please keep all signs and costumes free of profanity. \nBe sure to wear comfortable walking shoes for the 1.3-mile parade route\, which is mostly flat. (Neiman Rd from Shawnee Msn Pkwy to Johnson Dr\, Johnson Dr from Neiman to Cody) \nThe parade begins at 10:00 AM\, and we will assemble at 8:45 AM near McAlister’s Deli\, 11330 Shawnee Mission Parkway\, Shawnee\, KS 66203. \nPlease sign up and include your mobile number so we can send text updates with any additional details and the exact meeting location. \nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
