Anyone and everyone is welcome\, regardless of background or experience; this space is for anyone who is angry about what is happening in our community and country\, and who is ready to turn that anger into action through mutual aid\, organizing\, and direct community care. \nAt our May meeting\, we will briefly introduce who we are and what we stand for\, share details about our **May 25th Hands Across America 2.0 Joplin** event\, and brainstorm additional actions and events we can organize together. \nWe will talk about:\n– concrete ways to help protect and provide for our community\,\n– how to push back against fascist and oppressive systems\,\n– which local and state offices or organizations to contact in your own district to voice your concerns\, and\n– how to stay connected with us between meetings through our communication channels and volunteer opportunities. \nPlease note: a core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values\, and weapons of any kind\, including those legally permitted\, should not be brought to events. \nWe cannot wait to see you there!
