Missouri’s legislature is considering a dangerous tax scheme to replace the income tax with a sales/service tax on just about EVERYTHING. This Everything Tax Bill (HJR 173 and 174) would cost working Missourians more while wiping out funding for important services and education. Most families in our community are having to make sacrifices as costs rise and wages aren’t keeping up with increases. Politicians in Jefferson City should be investing in programs that create opportunities for jobs, healthcare, education and more affordability, not increasing costs for families to save money for the wealthy few.
